Want to hold our political representatives accountable for failing to represent our interests? Here’s your chance! “Up close and personal.” A first-in-a-lifetime opportunity to put our contemptible public figures on “trial” for letting us down. Like on American Idol and Dancing With The Stars – you get to choose the politician you want “tried” from NoPoli Network News’ suggested candidates. You may also write in your own “favorite” politician! If you don’t like the options we give you, write in your own! Then, tell us what “crimes” or charges you want to “try” them for. Again, choose from our suggested “crimes” and/or write in your own!
The results of the preliminary vote are in! The three political leaders who received the greatest number of preliminary votes for indictlment, and will now face one another in the final vote to indict the political leader to be tried in the first ever social media people’s court were Barack Obama, Sarah Palin and Nancy Pelosi. The two crimes receiving the greatest number of preliminary votes were conflict between the interests of “we the people” and the personal agendas of the politicians and making false statements knowingly or recklessly.
We have a “winner”! (More aptly, perhaps we should say a “loser”?) “We the people” have spoken and President Barak Obama has been “indicted” and will stand trial in the first ever social media people’s court beginning the week of September 6 on charges of “making false statements either knowingly or recklessly.” Presiding over the trial will be The Honorable Arnold Lambert, prominent Washington, D.C. trial court judge. On behalf of “we the people,” President Obama will be prosecuted by well known attorney and author Ron Barak. President Obama will be defended by White House Chief of Staff Manny Reyes. Beginning on September 6, the trial will be presented in the Guest Blog section on the home page of NoPoli.org. Click on the See Court Schedule link just below for the dates of each stage of the trial. Beginning October 4, as a juror in the first ever social media people’s court, you may cast your vote to convict or acquit President Obama of the charges handed down against him by the first ever social media people’s court grand jury.
The deadline to vote as a juror is October 14!
